Jimmy Glotfelty is a prominent figure in the energy sector, known for his extensive experience in both public service and private industry, particularly in Houston, Texas.

 

Education:

Glotfelty earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Marketing from Texas Christian University.

 

Public Sector Experience:

In the public sector, Glotfelty served as the Director of the Office of Electric Transmission and Distribution and as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy.

 

Private Sector Experience:

In the private sector, Glotfelty co-founded Clean Line Energy Partners, where he served as Executive Vice President.

 

He also held positions at Quanta Services, Calpine Corporation, and ICF Consulting.

In 2021, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Glotfelty as a Commissioner on the Public Utility Commission of Texas, where he served until the end of 2024.

 

Throughout his career, Glotfelty has been involved in various organizations and forums, including ConserveAmerica, the Aspen Institute Energy Forum, and the Greater Houston Partnership.
